MOPAR and 3M Team Up for Jeep Map Decals

As debuted at the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, UT, a topographical map decal of a popular trail in Moab excited many of those in attendance and was the catalyst for making these decals available to the masses.

Convinced of the potential success for the custom decals, the global head of the MOPAR parts and service brand went to work. After a brief phone call and a few short months of collaboration with 3M, the ordering system was ready for the public.

You can order a custom decal of any topographical or street level map in North America that fits perfectly to the dimensions of your vehicle's hood and is available for Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Cherokee models. The online ordering tool at Mopar's site allows you to choose from one of the existing decal maps or customize one of your very own. The options include topographical maps of popular trails across the country and even street level maps for the more urban Jeep owner.

To begin ordering, you simply click on the make of Jeep you want and the site walks you through a few basic options including the color of your vehicle, the map you want and the accent color and marker of your choice. You also have the choice of a compass or target to identify a specific point on the map that is of special importance.

Once the design process is complete, a code will be emailed to the email address provided during the order process. The code is then taken to the dealership where the order is placed for the decal. While there, an installation appointment can be arranged and the dealership will install the decal once it has been created.

The map decals are available in black and grey. Trim colors of black or red are available to make the look more personalized. The decals are made of durable and weather resistant material to hold up to the elements and come with a three year warranty.

These decals are currently available for 2007 or newer Jeep Wrangler models and 2011 or newer Jeep Grand Cherokee models. The new 2014 Cherokee model is also available for these unique decals.
