Lincoln MKX Attracting New Global Customers

Ford Motor Corporation is known as a forward thinking, reliable, solid and innovative brand.

Ford Motor Corporation is known as a forward thinking, reliable, solid and innovative brand. They have always strived to deliver the most value to their customers, whether in North America or the global market. The long-term push in driving up their sales in countries such as China, South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa has a new weapon in the all new Lincoln MKX.

To facilitate this initiative, the 2015 Lincoln MKX was unveiled at this year’s North American International Auto Show with 21st Century bells and whistles. For example, the new Lincoln MKX includes the first top-shelf audio system Revel. There is more innovation with a 2.7 liter EcoBoost engine.

Although, Lincoln is the luxury flagship of the Ford brand, there is always a special edition offering available to its customers, and the Lincoln MKX is no exception. Two limited edition designer themes have been marketed as the Lincoln Black Label, which is the next generation of the luxury hierarchy at Ford. Capturing the global markets and its customer base have been the catalyst for these cutting-edge additions.

Ford announced that it will first roll out the new Lincoln MKX in the fall in the United States market. This will be followed by mass rollouts in areas such as China, Canada, the Middle East, Mexico and South Korea.

The growing midsize premium segment was targeted when the design changes were on the drawing board at Ford’s engineering department. What they came up with was more power such as a turbocharged V-6 engine that is environmentally friendly. This was followed by the technology of push-button shift and SelectShift for the six speed transmission.

To ensure the agility and handling of the Lincoln MKX was in keeping with the tradition of the Lincoln luxury persona, additions were made to the rear suspension as upgrades to the body and chassis were implemented. The engineering innovation did not stop there because they added the Lincoln Drive Control ride enhancement, which maximizes performance with a driver selection of normal, sport or comfort mode. Now that we have reviewed the bells of the all new Lincoln MKX, let us take a look at the whistles.

There are a plethora of driver comfort foods at the ready of fingertips in the all new Lincoln MKX such as a lane-keeping system, blind spot information system, cross traffic alert, a height adjustable hands free power liftgate and the 360-degree camera with enhanced parking assistance. The Lincoln MKX welcomes the 360-degree camera, complemented by an ultrasonic sensor system in the 2015 model, making parking a snap. The camera’s positioning on the chassis has a stealthy location behind the Lincoln Star on the hood with a split-view for use when the cross traffic system is activated.

The final two whistles in the all new Lincoln MKX are the pre-collision assistant feature, which mitigates a frontal crash, and the enhanced driver visibility with LED headlamps that adjust with speed acceleration from zero to thirty five.
