You have worked so hard for this day and eventually the opportunity has come to show your talent. The resume that you have sent for a job has worked out well and you get a phone call to attend the interview. We know you will be nervous at this point and work in your mind on several odds on how to make that perfect first impression. There is nothing to panic, remind yourself of the technical knowledge you are aware of and have a positive outlook.
For your convenience we have listed some of the tips on how to get yourself prepared to perform best in the job interview.

Do your homework
There is nothing wrong in spending few hours on learning about the company, that you are going to visit for an interview. Gather as much information as you can by checking their website and company's blogs. However, it is not always good to come to a conclusion just by reading the reviews of the past and current employees mentioned in third party websites, as sometimes they may not give the real facts about the company. Check if they have values mentioned in the company website, so that it becomes even more easier for you to understand and analyze what the company stands for. The more you learn about the company, the more comfortable and confident you feel about cracking the interview.

Dress code
Not sure what to wear? If you are not intimated with the dress code wear something decent which is not overly flashy. Looking best in a good attire will obviously boost your confidence levels, but at the same time overdoing the show put-up will make you feel odd in the situation. Understand the job role that you are called for and accordingly match the outfit that makes you feel best.

Carry ID proof, photos & resume
Carry all the documents including an original ID proof, photos and additional copies of resume in case if you need them. Keep a good copy of resume, either an unfolded one or a neatly folded resume with good printout or photocopy (xerox). It is typical that people draft different kinds of resumes for different companies and positions. So make sure while attending the interview, you carry the same version that has been submitted for that company. As for number of copies, carry enough of them so that each of your interviewer will have his or her own copy. It's another opportunity to project your professionalism in front of the company that you are hoping to join.

Do last minute rehearse
Many people think that last minute preparations doesn't workout but in reality it has great impact on the confidence levels. You may not know the exact questions but try to make your own list that are generally asked for your job description and professional experience. Be honest and sincere in your past positions and accomplishments because false modesty doesn't really workout in long term.
