This is by far the most enriching and deep relationship an adult man nurtures in his life. When you as parents get a daughter you suddenly turn from hard handshakes to soft-delicate ones as you know you have to handle a fragile small being.

Let’s see what a father-daughter relationship looks like:

  1. To start with a daughter picks up traits from her mother like hospitality, care and family binding traits. If the wife has a habit of serving water and snacks to the husband once he is back from work, your little princess will also do that.
  2. Secondly, a father is extremely protective of his daughter. He cannot ensure to be around her till the end of life and hence, inculcates traits of strength and being self-sufficient in today’s fast-moving world. He won’t allow her to fall not only while playing but also while facing future life challenges. He cannot share the muscle power with his daughter but is responsible to make the daughter mentally strong to face life’s challenges.
  3. A daughter is always more pampered compared to a boy child when it comes to shopping. A daughter gets away with all her cute little demands with the father, she wants new clothes, all she has to do is say it once and she shall get it. Be it buying from online infant clothes websites or manually shopping around a mall, she is always accompanied by her father.
  4. A modern father of the 21st century doesn’t mind participating in feminine activities with his daughter as long as she is happy doing it. Example activities like playing with the daughter kitchen set, cleaning or even being the subject for her hairdressing interest. Additionally, a daughter most of the time uses her dad as the subject for her mock-up make-up activities. You won’t be surprised to see a messy daddy face on a Sunday where mums make-up and hairbands are all used on daddy. Yes, it’s definitely a cute sight. Dads are willing to let go of society judgments for the sake of a smile on his daughters face.
  5. Also, as a father, you are setting standards of how other men around your daughter will behave. Make sure to show her the best side of you. Being gentle and understanding goes without saying but also being supportive of her career decisions and professional life is critical. If you as a father are supportive, she will tend to get attracted to a life pattern that will demonstrate the same kind of support.
  6. In fact, a strong father-daughter relationship in childhood can actually impact a daughter's romantic life in adulthood. It is often said that a girl's father sets the standard for how she should be treated and what she should expect and tolerate in relationships later in life.
  7. Last but not least, a father today, also encourages a daughter to perform well in sports and academics as that determines her future. Traditionally, a father was not in favour of educating the girl child which is now turning around 360 degrees.

Daughter-Father relationship:

  1. A daughter is as protective of her father as he is of her. She won’t be able to see her dad in pain, as he couldn’t see her in pain while she grew up. It’s a perfect mutual relationship of love and affection and care for each other.
  2. Yes, a daughter is her dad’s angel, she asked for anything while she was an infant and her dad provided all the comforts of life. She feels inclined towards this massive contribution he had to offer. Being the more emotional being compared to a man, she will ensure that the parents get all they need once she can take up responsibilities.

A daughter feels like a princess around her father only because her father is a king himself. A father is definitely a little biased towards his daughter compared to his son but he also shares a special bond with his son. Read this article to Understand the Father-Son Relationship.
