Gnomes Taking Care Of The Miniature Garden

Though we often refer to the “lazy” days of summer, it can be one of the busiest times of the year!

Vacations, sports, trips, housework, yard work…the list goes on and on. No matter how much you love and care for your miniature garden, you might have limited time to spend working on it in the summer. Should you worry that restricting your summer miniature gardening tasks might encourage garden fairies to play? Do you wonder what the gnomes are getting into at the fairy garden this summer?

You need not worry too much about garden maintenance, because miniature plants grow full and lush in the summer. The summer rain will fall, and the flowers will bloom - although the weeds may thrive and there could be pruning chores. However, if you look very closely and carefully, you might see some teeny-tiny helpers. Do you spot a Garden Gnome Chopping Wood? That little fellow is just making sure that your miniature garden is not too overgrown. Thanks, friend! Did you know that gnomes are known to be kind, helpful, and hardworking? If you spot any of these helpers in your garden, you are in luck.

Whom else can we recognize? Some friends are more playful, like Timmy the Gnome who is found running through the garden, ducking under leaves, and swerving around flowers. Timmy is also an ornery little fellow, especially with the fairies. He enjoys holding a sign that declares this place is a no-fairy zone. They are always flying around and stealing his pointed cap! Of course, other fairies and gnomes set a better example, such as Fairy Ellie and Gnome Digby. They are forever friends who march through the fairy garden and play together. You may see a bit of both—gnomes and fairies getting along, or bugging each other—in your miniature garden.

So, we have gnomes who help, and those who start a little garden drama, along with those who play nicely with others…plus wee folk who will care for the garden while you are away. Iggy the Gnome looks a little tired. Maybe he was awake all night long planting, weeding, and watering or perhaps he was having a little too much fun! It is always hard to say with gnomes, who play just as hard as they work. Johnny the Gnome is catching a bit of shut-eye too, resting his back against a soft and cushy mushroom. If you listen carefully, you might hear him snoring. Why do some of these diminutive spirits seem so sleepy and slow moving? It might be the hot sun beating down on the miniature garden, or the long beards and tall hats, which trap the heat and make them sluggish.

Not all gnomes are sleepy in the summertime. Install a Gnome Tire Swing with Hook in your miniature garden, and your fairy garden residents will have a blast while they swing, fly, and play the days away. During Story Time for Gnomes, fairies and gnomes can join to share a favorite book. See, there is a world of fun to be had in the miniature garden! Are all the gnomes going to spruce up your miniature plants while you are away at the beach? Well…maybe not. However, they will surely keep a spirit of adventure alive and well in the fairy garden until you come back home.
