Adapting To Content Marketing During Coronavirus

Coronavirus may stop your offline business from operating, but your content marketing won't be stopped.

It has been months (I’m done counting, actually) since the Coronavirus started hitting us like crazy. From having to practice social distancing and getting used to life without the outdoors to continually washing our hands and wearing masks and seeing loved ones and friends getting sick, the Coronavirus is something none of us expected. However, if you are a business owner, while you need to distance yourself from outside world for a while, it doesn’t mean you have to give up on your business. Even though they say businesses are pretty much dead during this virus outbreak, don’t let them get to you personally. Your business STAYS ALIVE and will always be on the move whether you want to believe it or not. I know it sounds absurd, but while offline businesses are not allowed to open their business for a while to prevent the virus from spreading, who says content marketing is not allowed? Yes, content marketing will always be alive as long as YOU allow it. The first thing you have to do is adapt. How? Keep reading to find out!

Go online

When things don’t go great outside, why don’t we improve from the inside? The same principle to that question applies to business as well. When restaurants can’t operate well during this virus outbreak, they go for online delivery services where they can still serve food and get paid for that. When a fashion store can’t operate as well, they go for online catalogues and social media to sell their products more effectively during this pandemic. Whether you were from the year of 1980, 1970 or even 1945, if you own a business today, you must adapt to online activities. Adapt, adapt and adapt, and you know where your business goes.

Help others selflessly

I know you are struggling, but helping people selflessly won’t make you poor. In fact, it will make your business a blessing for people and even for yourself. Trust me, you will never be poor for having such a kind human soul. You can start by donating for those who need equipment and tools for coronavirus (especially hospitals) or asking for your social media followers to join you in a good act of kindness and donate for those who need it. If you are selling goods or products online, insert bonus like hand sanitizers and masks in the package you are going to send to your buyers and write them a “May you always be in good health and we know you are going to survive this outbreak. Get well soon, Earth. We wish you the greatest health, happiness and joy, our dear customers and people around the world.” Not only are these a creative way to sell your products, but these are also good prayers for Earth.

Offer educational based training

If you are looking for a good opportunity, consider selling your audience educational based courses. With unemployment numbers reaching all-time highs, more people than ever are looking for new opportunities. Many of these opportunities are in fields like high-tech that not everyone has experience in. And, of course, going back to school can be expensive and is time-consuming. Plus, let’s face it… you can probably learn more applicable knowledge on YouTube than sitting in a college class for 4 years (at least for most professions). So, where do people go to learn? Any online education website offering very specific, niche advice and courses. Whether that is Udemy or you are selling your own courses, people are looking for help. Trust me, when this pandemic is over, your business increases your brand awareness as well.

Sadly, the next few months are going to get worse. The daily count of new Coronavirus victims is growing. From a personal standpoint, all you can do is stay indoors and practice social distancing. However, from a marketing, business, and career perspective, you can make a change. You should have more time now (sadly), so use it to your advantage. Put in the effort so you can grow, that way you’ll come out of the Coronavirus stronger.
