CompactFloor Presents Underfloor Heating IDEAL BASIC

Concrete slab, thermal insulation, heating pipes and screed. And for 45 years they have had the same disadvantages: installation depth, weight, humidity and of course, slow response times. Due to the mass of the screed, it can take several hours before heat is emitted into the space. It is not possible for the user to simply turn the heating on and off as required. This can be remedied by the installation of thin, light, thermally conductive layers to the replace screed, such as those from CompactFloor. These dry screed improvements enable a rapid heating and cooling of the underfloor heating based on the principle: heating only when it is necessary. The floor build-up using dry construction methods can be particularly complex, especially where impact sound insulation or special floor finishes have to be accommodated such as large-format ceramic tiles. To simplify the installation of the separate layers for designers and installers, CompactFloor now offer a dry-construction underfloor heating system that is designed to meet today's requirements.

New IDEAL BASIC from CompactFloor

IDEAL BASIC consists of a 30 mm thin heating element with factory-bonded, aluminium conductive plates. The substrate can be either polystyrene or woodfibre insulation. The conductive plates ensure high energy efficency combined with even, rapid heat emission. The pipe ducts have a uniform, preconfigured spacing of 167 mm. A top-hat section integrated in the duct ensures the pipe is securely fixed until the final load-distributing conductive layer is laid, making it also quick to install.
