Julian Assange Martyrs Of Today

To what degree does the State masquerading under the banner of the Law and more often nowadays under that of International Law, have the right to hound a man who has never been found Guilty of a Crime. The charges may have been laid and purported evidence gathered but no sensible decision regarding Justice has been reached let alone debated. For a trial to be fair and just, the jurisdiction under which it is convened must be not only fair and just but be patently transparent for all to see the minutiae of the process at work. This is absolutely not the case of Julian Assange and the USA.The charges are not only ill defined but purposely hazy and open to endless additions without even mentioning expansion. The case against him in Sweden has collapsed and become farcical but the American Government posing as the Administration continues to hound him and even introduces changes, amendments and complete negation of current, agreed Law going even further by categorically inveigling the British government to join them in disregarding and negating international Law, which they are signatories to. Since the days of Rendition and Guantanamo Bay where they openly flouted the accepted way of behavior, they have continuously changed their Laws to suit whatever they need to be the outcome of any matter. This has spilled over into Business and Political Geo-Strategy (the hounding of the EU and others to toe the line regarding American unilaterally imposed sanctions against Iran)and the hard nosed bully boy tactics that have been openly displayed have given them the feeling of invincibility. But this does not make any of their actions Legal apart from inside the continental USA.The imposition of their version of what constitutes Legality on other supposedly independent countries constitutes tyranny disguised as democracy. And Julian Assange is suffering this hourly, daily and yearly. He is a prisoner who is not on Remand and who has no fixed trial date. The legality of the charges are not defined as the facts that emerged from the disclosure by WikiLeaks of what illegal actions the American Government and its multifarious agencies(whether governmental or the supposed private corporations)undertook in complete disregard of International and National Law, have never been the subject of charges. Why have no charges been laid in the International Court in the Hague? Or in those countries whose citizens have been wronged by intrusion into their privacy and financial affairs? By what stretch of the imagination has this state of affairs become the accepted version. Obviously a muzzled and mute Media has been instrumental in achieving this outcome. The perversion of what was Justice has overtaken any semblance of the original concept which took centuries of blood, sweat and atrocity to reach, imperfect though it was. And Mr.Assange is but the most prominent of many who have already been subject to this contaminated legal quagmire in the never-ending game of silencing dissenting voices who bring the diseased actions of the protectors of the system into the light for all to see. However, if this issue goes the way of others and he is locked up and 'punished', then there is little hope for the rest of us who question. Then it will only be a matter of time before the idea of questioning or having an opinion will be seen to be heretical and subject to the harshest of penalties. Longevity of the Human race as semi free individuals will definitely not be assurable.
