Zadar Summer Theatre Festival – June 30th - August 3rd

Croatia is new on any sightseer’s “must go to” list, but at the Zadar Summer Theatre Festival you can experience Croatian culture without feeling like a tourist. Start your summer break in Zadar at the Zadar Summer Theatre Festival, watching a range of performances from international dance to singing and theatre in the Old Town. The festival, which started in 1995, was initially an event exclusively for theatre but today you can see a range of international performances with The Modern Music Festival as its central feature, placing Zadar as a hotspot for cultural activities.

Zadar Jazz & Blues 2017 – July 26th - 28th 

The Zadar Jazz & Blues Festival has been a sensation since it opened in 2015 as part of The Modern Music Festival. Held on the open air terrace of the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar, you can take part in the extraordinary experience of watching live jazz against the backdrop of the Jazine bay with views of the city’s historical bridge.

Traditional Friday Festivities – June 16th – August 28th

Fridays in Zadar are when the locals get together in the old town to listen to some Dalmatian tunes and enjoy the local food. Tourists are welcomed to join in with the local festivities and experience Zadar first hand - what better way to experience the culture? Running every Friday night from mid-June to the end of August, you can take part in traditional Friday festivities where street performers and cafes are lively until the early hours of the morning.
