Taste Of Courmayeur: The Festival For Foodies

For me, food is a very important part of travel. I’m sure you’ll agree, which is why I highly recommend that fellow foodies flock to the highly anticipated Taste of Courmayeur Festival that takes place at the end of January 2018. This exclusive event takes place in this stunning wintery region in northwest Italy at the foot of Mont Blanc – a perfect setting for sampling tantalising local cuisine and participating in fun activities!

Delicious Cuisine

Taking place at the Mountain Sport Centre between 26 and 28 January,  the Taste of Courmayeur features six renowned chefs, who will dazzle your taste buds with their most impressive and delicious dishes as part of a special tasting menu consisting of 24 courses! Yum.

Fun & Valuable Activities

In addition to sampling the finest delicacies from the Aosta Valley, you will enjoy a full programme of activities over the course of the festival. This includes cooking lessons, mixology classes, wine tasting, tea tasting and much more. You are sure to pick up some helpful tips and information here to improve your culinary skills back home!

Cool Parties

Once the sun goes down, the fun continues with cool parties each night, consisting of tasty dishes, cocktails, fine wine, DJs and plenty of dancing. If you enjoy the finer things in life, you will certainly feel at home at this festival, which is sure to be a valuable and unforgettable experience. It is also a brilliant opportunity to meet some likeminded people in a unique setting.

Great Skiing

In addition to its food, the region is famous for its skiing, so be sure to bring your gear along and shred some powder during your stay. This is an ideal way of burning some calories after a few days of indulgence. There is a lot of variety when it comes to the slopes at the foot of Mont Blanc, enabling you to put your skills to the test and develop your abilities and confidence during your trip.

How to Get There

To get to the Taste of Courmayeur Festival, you will want to fly from London into Geneva Airport. This takes around 90 minutes and easyJet, British Airways, Swiss and Lufthansa all offer direct flights from the Capital.

To reach Courmayeur from Geneva, I recommend that you pre-book a Shuttle Direct transfer. This spares you from the hassle of public transportation or from queuing for a taxi – instead, all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic ride. One of our experienced drivers can pick you up in one of our premium cars and get you to your hotel in around an hour and a half. Be sure to let us know if you are bringing your ski gear so that we can arrange a large enough vehicle for you to ride comfortably.

This year’s Taste of Courmayeur Festival is certain to be a fabulous event with good food, fine wine and an electric atmosphere, which you’ll enjoy even more if you take in the marvellous views of Mont Blanc. Don’t miss out!
