Take The Family On An Unforgettable Holiday To Menorca

The island of Menorca is the perfect choice of holiday destination for families looking for their next fix of summer sun. Choc-a-bloc with exquisite beaches, accessible from a plethora of reasonably-priced, comfortable accommodation, Menorca is one of the most relaxing and revitalising hotspots in Europe – for children and parents alike, believe it or not!

What makes Menorca a truly great choice for families is the fact that there are so many options when it comes to deciding where to stay. The island is split into smaller regions, each of which offers its own unique advantages. Cala en Porter, for example, is within striking distance of wonderful geographical sites and cliff faces, while Cala Galdana is the pick-up point for a tour-de-force boat trip along the coast and Son Bou is famed for its white sandy beaches and ancient ruins.

The sheer volume of high-quality, family-friendly venues means that it is really hard to pick out the best family resorts in Menorca, but no matter where you decide to base yourself, the island has a number of wonderful family friendly activities on offer.

Things to do in Menorca

  • Camí de Cavalls coastal path – this historic trail covers a staggering distance of 185km, and it makes inroads into many of the otherwise concealed parts of the Menorcan coast; the path could also lead you to any of the island’s luscious beaches. While we are not suggesting you take on the whole trek, you can dip in and out of its many sections.

  • Es Grau beach and nature reserve – unique among Menorca’s wealth of beautiful beaches and especially popular among teens and children, the crystal-clear, azure waters of Es Grau stretch far out before they deepen; this means that the beach is more like a sun-kissed bathtub and perfect for youngsters. As if that were not enough, there is a specific access route from the beach that leads to the S’Albufera des Grau nature reserve, which is bursting with animal and plant life.

  • Los Delfines Aquacenter water park – appealing to all ages, this water park has plenty of rides to keep the younger ones busy for hours on end. Good news for parents is that there are plenty of amenities too, such as a snack bar, restaurant, and lush relaxing gardens.
