Uncover The Wild Side Of Avoriaz: Après Ski Is Key!

Avoriaz is a great party resort with over 40 bars to choose from!

For a group of fun-loving mates, I know that a skiing trip is much more than just a chance to shred powder. The après scene can be just as (if not more) important than how many kilometres of slopes there are, so you will always want to pick a resort with enough pubs, bars and clubs to keep you going to the early hours each night.

Whilst it is sometimes thought of as a more traditional and family-friendly resort, I think that Avoriaz is a brilliant choice for those looking to ski by day and party by night. The resort certainly has its own wild side and an après scene which boasts over 40 drinking establishments!

Here are a few of the best drinking spots in the area:

The Place

This lively bar is a hotspot during après hours as it has a cool outdoor terrace with live bands and DJs playing each day. The party keeps going until the early hours, with pa-trons taking advantage of the happy hour prices and great drink deals. Big sporting events are shown on the big screens too.

Le Chapka

This impressive venue has absolutely everything you need for a cracking time, whether you’re looking for an afternoon bite or a party till late. Found in the heart of Avoriaz, Le Chapka serves great food, has regular live music, shows sport, offers bar games like pool and darts and also boasts a huge selection of drinks.

Le Shooters

Strap in for a fun night when you walk through the door to Le Shooters, which (unsurpri-singly) specialises in tasty and strong shooters – there are over 50 recipes on offer! They also have live pop and rock, before resident DJs take over around midnight and keep the crowd dancing till close at 2am.

Le Tavaillon

Even whilst on holiday, sometimes you feel the need to be in a classic English pub. This is where Le Tavaillon comes in, which is a friendly English-style pub with an excellent outdoor heated terrace. In addition to a huge selection of beers, this establishment serves up tasty grub and shows sporting events on the big screen.

Le Yak

As mentioned, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to party destinations in Avoriaz. If your crew want to keep going until the early hours of the morning, however, then Le Yak is the place for you. As Avoriaz’s only establishment that stays open till 5am, this is where you find the hardcore party animals! The resident DJ and guests pack the dance floor each night and there is a huge selection of drinks to keep you fuelled for a long night of fun.

How to Get There

The most convenient way to reach the resort is to fly from London to Geneva, which is around 90 minutes and made regularly by budget carries like BA and easyJet. If you pre-book a Shuttle Direct transfer, one of our friendly local drivers will then be waiting for you at Geneva airport. Ski transfers to Avoriaz take between 1.5 and 2 hours, so you can simply sit back and start planning which of the above you will go to first! We pride our-selves on our reliable, friendly and affordable service, so our Geneva airport ski transfers will always be stress-free and much easier than using public transportation.

Your gang are sure to have a fantastic time in Avoriaz – especially if you frequent any of the listed establishments!
