Everyone's A Winner At The 3 Vallées Enduro

If, like me, you’ve been inspired by the high-octane excitement of the Winter Olympics in Pyeong Chang then why not become part of the action at the Three Valley’s Enduro race day. Anyone skiing in Les Menuires, or any of the other major Three Valley resorts, on April 1st is welcome to enrol in the activities which span the entire 600km ski area.

Discover Les Menuires

The friendly, reasonably-priced resort of Les Menuires is a great base for exploring the extensive Les Trois Vallées region with its excellent skiing. Set at 1850m (higher than Méribel and at the same level as Courchevel 1850) the skiing in Les Menuires is excellent throughout the season thanks to the altitude. Sharing a valley with Val Thorens, the resort has a fantastic range of skiing on its doorstep including exhilarating off piste and no fewer than six black runs. But if you really love a challenge then the Three Valleys is waiting for you, right on your doorstep.

Join in the Fun

On 1st April the resorts of Les Menuires, Val Thorens, Orelle, Méribel and Courchevel come together to put on the Enduro: a range of races, challenges and festivities which stretch across the Trois Vallées. From Boardercross events in the snowpark at Méribel to a Family Schuss in Val Thorens and a Slalom event in Les Menuires, amateur skiers can compete for victory (or fun) throughout the day. And, of course, this is France so the day is not only rounded off with award ceremonies in all the resorts, but a giant Savoyard buffet as well.

Racing Categories

Whether you see yourself as a budding slalom skier like Dave Ryding, a freestyle skier like Katie Summerhayes or a Big Air daredevil like medal-winner Billy Morgan, there’ll be an event for you. The day is divided into categories: pros, amateur, family. And each team must have three skiers in it. Once you’ve registered you can choose which events you’d like to take part in and then you simply pick up your bib from the Club de Sports in the resort and head off to whichever race takes your fancy. Teams are given points for each race which are then added up at the end of the day to pick a winner from each category.
