Yet another remarkable event taking place will be the lighting of beacons to symbolise the year of the Diamond Jubilee. A network of 2,012 Beacons will be lit by both individuals and groups of people all over the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. Finally is the service of Thanksgiving and Carriage Procession. The service of Thanksgiving is due to take place at St Paul’s Cathedral, that intensely majestic and grandiose landmark, and an official procession involve the Queen in a carriage. In addition to all of this, Commonwealth nations will be inventing their own spectacular events to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. They will also be represented at, and engaged in, the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant on 3rd June and the Service of Thanksgiving on 5th June.
