Looking For A School Ski Trip Destination? Try Andorra

Looking to treat your pupils to an unforgettable trip? Look no further than school ski trips, which are a superb way to reward students for hard work. These trips are fantastic fun, as they encourage the group to spend quality time together and visit unique and beautiful parts of the world. Skiing is also an excellent form of exercise, and very different from anything that may have been covered in P.E.! In addition to this, skiing is a brilliant way to develop a range of important skills: patience, perseverance, confidence and coordination are just a few.

There are many wonderful places that are well-suited to school ski trips, but I think that the charming, independent principality of Andorra is the perfect destination. Nestled between France and Spain in the Pyrenees, Andorra is increasing in popularity and is a good alternative to The Alps, which can be somewhat pricey and busy.

Not convinced yet? Here are a few reasons why school ski trips to this stunning part of Europe are a great idea.

Variety: One potential issue with taking a large group skiing is that there may be significant differences in ability levels. The resorts of Vallnord and Grandvalira offer excellent skiing for all abilities, meaning that your entire class will be challenged and progress, no matter if it is their first time on the slopes or if they are more advanced.

Affordability: It is no secret that skiing can be expensive, and money can be a point of friction when it comes to school trips. Fortunately, Andorra is one of Europe’s cheapest ski destinations and is ideal for those on a tight budget.

Activities: Of course, the group will not want to spend every waking minute shredding powder. This is no problem here, as there is an abundance of other cool activities to try. These include shopping (duty-free!), picturesque walking trails in the surrounding area and exploring Andorra la Vella, the impressive capital of Andorra. The town of Les Escaldes is also worth a visit, thanks to its lovely hot springs. As you can tell, students will never experience a dull moment!

Accommodation: Andorra school ski trips include ideal accommodation in the heart of the action – the slopes are right on your doorstep. This can make concluding a day of skiing simple and straightforward, and is also handy for adults, as they do not have to worry about travelling through the resort with large groups.

Weather: Although chilly temperatures are the norm, Andorra benefits from plenty of sunshine, which makes skiing its pistes even more enjoyable. However, this does mean that you should remind students to apply sun cream each day.

School ski trips are a brilliant way to reward your students, and Andorra is the ideal place to do this. The fantastic variety of skiing, the resort’s friendly atmosphere and the large variety of non-skiing activities that are on offer will ensure that your class returns home feeling refreshed and with a host of new friends.
