All About The 2019 Motor Transport Awards: Part One

For over 30 years, Motor Transport has been hosting the aptly named Motor Transport Awards. The purpose of these awards is to honour people and businesses in the logistics industry, such as those who are excelling in some way in their careers in haulage work and companies that are outshining their competition. This year has seen some of the best and the brightest around become winners.

In part one of this two-part series, we will go into a little bit more detail about Motor Transport and its awards. Part two will focus on the haulage companies that won awards. Read on to learn all about this honourable event.

Who Are Motor Transport?

Motor Transport have their fingers in a few different pies at any given time. They produce online publications as well as a print magazine under their own name, and are a part of DVV Media International Ltd (this business publishes print and online content for Commercial Motor and Truck & Driver). Their main goal is to provide those in the haulage industry with reliable and relevant logistics news. They are also heavily involved with the Motor Transport Awards.

Haulage Heroes

Every year since 1986, these awards have taken place as a way to reward and acknowledge the superstars of the logistics industry. They are judged by established, senior figures within the transport industry. These men and women have the experience to know logistics excellence when they see it – so you can trust that anyone who wins an award is worth their salt.

This year was the 33rd instalment; it was held on 03 July at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane and was hosted by Omid Djalili.
