Kindergarten teaches kids to be active for at least an hour every day.

We all would agree to it that the kids of this generation are different from those of the last generation. But, one of the most abrupt contrasts is their want to spend their time indoors instead of stepping out and exploring new things. The major reasons for this is the increasing time spent with electronic devices, the major focus on scheduled activities and the increasing concerns about sun exposure. Every preschool, nowadays, has its major focus on making the little ones want to play outdoors with a bunch of their friends. Let’s see why is it so important for the pre-schoolers to play outdoors –

Exercise

Kindergarten teaches kids to be active for at least an hour every day. They make them go outside to play with their friends. Outdoor activities play a major role in encouraging active play that adds up to the most helpful exercises for children.

Executive functions include the plans, prioritizing, troubleshooting, negotiating and multitasking. Creativity is also one of the most important parts of this category as the right use of imagination is ideal for problem solving and self-entertainment. These skills must be learned and practiced, for which kids need some unstructured time that involves kids to make their own games, figure things out and amuse themselves by their own ways of executing things. Being outside lets them practice these important life skills.

Taking risks

As parents, it is important to let kids take some risks as that helps them gain their self confidence and know what they’re capable of doing. They won’t know what they can do if they’re always kept under restrictions and guidance of their parents and teachers.

Sunshine

But, if you look at it the other way, it turns out that human body needs sun to make vitamin D that is extremely vital in many body processes, from bone development to our immune system. Sun exposure boosts our immune system and makes our body capable of handling strong situations.

Socializing

Every kindergarten school in India focuses majorly on teaching kids to socialize and how to work together. Kids must learn to make new friends, how to share and cooperate, how to treat other people equally. Interacting with others helps them get used to a very structured setting, such as school or sports teams.

Appreciating of nature Kids need to learn that theirs is world outside their home and classroom that is very beautiful and which needs to be respected and appreciated in all possible ways. If a child grows up never walking in the woods, digging in soil, seeing animals in their habitat, playing in a stream or staring at the endless horizon of a sea, he/she will never be able to understand what there is in the nature to be lost. They must be accustomed to the mother nature they’re living with.

Thus, it is very important to send your children outside and let them know the outdoors in their own fun and exciting ways. You could also choose to go with them and experience everything with their growing age.
