Commercial Pilot License( CPL) Eligibility 

For Commercial Pilot License eligibility is 12th pass with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics or Diploma in engineering from a recognized board or University. 

Candidate’s age should be minimum of 17 years or the above. 

The candidate/student must be medically fit.

Course Duration of Commercial Pilot License 

In India to be a commercial pilot, a candidate must have a minimum total of 200 hours of flying which includes:

  • 100 Hrs as Pilot in Command 
  • 50 Hrs Cross- country flying as a pilot in command 
  • 20 Hrs Simulator Training 
  • 20 Hrs Instrument Flying 
  • 10 Hrs in Night Flying 

The duration of this course is 18 months to 2 years. The regulation body in India is the Director- General of Civil Aviation(Government of India). 

Abroad to be a commercial pilot, a candidate must have a minimum total of 250 hours of training which can be completed in 6 months to 1 year depending on the country and flying training school you choose. Every country has its own regulatory body for Commercial pilot License( CPL) after having a license it can be converted to other countries also. 

Commercial Pilot license Course Fee Structure 

The fee for Commercial Pilot Course is from 15 to 50 lakh depending on the Flying Training Institute candidate chooses in India or Abroad. It also depends on the country you choose and training facility reputation of the Flying Training Institute. 

Commercial Pilot Salaries 

A pilot in India & abroad starts their career with a salary of over 1 lakh a month to 10 lakhs per month. Salary Package keeps on increasing as Flying Hours Experience increases as a commercial Pilot.
