It's about championing you and helping you reach your ultimate career goals. You'll have a career coach with you every step of the way.
A coach/client relationship is one where you hold the agenda and they provide you with the assistance, support, and guidance you need to reach your goal(s) sooner than if you were to do it all on your own.
The coaching sessions are tailored based on your objectives and will be based on what you want to achieve. An ongoing relationship between a coach and client helps you become more aware of what may be holding you back or presenting a roadblock while also focusing on the goals you're pursuing.
We help you establish realistic goals, discover solutions to challenges you might be facing, develop action plans, establish motivation, and build self-confidence. You can take charge of your career by turning it into something you've always wanted, something that is your ultimate goal.
The fact that you and your coach share the same ultimate goal creates excitement during the process! Individual partnering is an excellent method for:
Guidance, advice, and support when making career decisions.
Steps to take and strategies to employ.
Develop a personalized plan that will enable you to accomplish the goals you set for yourself.
Career coaches are not...
A person who counsels or is a therapist. Career coaches assist in developing skills, while career counselors assist in overcoming deficiencies.
A person's past and the "whys" of their past are dealt with in therapy; a person's future and the "hows" of achieving success are dealt with in coaching.
Individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, or other problems that interfere with their daily lives should seek professional counseling. Coaching does not dictate what a client should do with their life.
Career coaching is only effective if you are willing to receive it. That is, you're open to new ideas, you're willing to change, you're receptive to constructive criticism, and you're willing and ready to take action. It is seeing the results of your efforts that makes all your hard work worthwhile!
What can a career coach do for you?
Essentially, he/she provides you with a safe harbor in a time that is often fraught with stress, doubt, and fear.
Coaching will serve you best if you are.
Choosing who and how to choose.
Only you can determine and decide who to hire as your coach. Based on your research, you know what your needs are and who would be deemed "a good fit.". Nowadays, career coaching is available in a wide variety of settings. Prepare yourself.
