Patience and being open to purchasing different brands can pay off big when shopping for household goods, clothing, and even vacations. Newlyweds will have to hone their skills in assessing which needs merit spending a little more on versus those that can simply be based on getting the cheapest price. There are some items where quality should be considered over price. For example, it may be worth it to spend a bit more money on a good quality mattress because you'll likely be using it for years and years.
