Purchases to Help You Throw the Ultimate Garden Party

Garden furniture gives your guests somewhere to sit and your drinks somewhere to stand. Why not get creative with a swing bench

Having a party in your garden is just good sense. On the one hand a garden party means that you and your guests can enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine and it will automatically make your party feel kitsch and twee which can be a lot of fun as something different. At the same time though, by throwing a garden party you also pare your home from a lot of damage and ensure you have more space for lots of people.

But how do you make sure that your garden is the most impressive it can be and fit to host a garden party? Here we will look at some great purchases from party tents to fountains that will make your garden party ideal.

Tea Set: As mentioned your garden party will by its very nature have a fun 'mad hatter' vibe just through being outside. However you can add to this too in various ways, such as by having a tea set for you all to drink out of. This is very twee and shows a lot of thought and effort. And of course it doesn't have to contain tea – why not fill the kettle with pims or champagne? People will get a real kick out of drinking alcohol out of a tea set.

Party Tents: There is one downside of garden parties, that being that they inevitably are reliant on good weather. You are this way at the whim of nature and it takes no more than a sudden downpore of rain to ruin your day... Unless that is you have a party tent which can provide you with shelter while at the same time ensuring you don't get too many bugs and that everything doesn't get blown away by wind.

Fountains: Using fountains or other water features can be a great way to add an exciting feature to your garden and this is something people will no doubt enjoy running their hands under or just watching. And who says it needs to be filled with water?

Garden Furniture: Garden furniture gives your guests somewhere to sit and your drinks somewhere to stand. Why not get creative with a swing bench, a garden bed or garden cushions strewn around the floor? Of course by using your party tents you can also use furniture that isn't necessarily designed as garden furniture as there won't be any risk of it getting wet when it rains.

Water: Okay so 'water' is a rather vague instruction, but there are various ways you can improve your party with bodies of water. For example why not add to the party with a hot tub – this is a brilliant way to create a relaxed and chilled vibe and it's something everyone will want a go in. Meanwhile a swimming pool of course makes any garden perfect, especially in the evening – but if you can't afford that then a deep paddling pool can have a great effect too (and this is a fun way to keep beer cans cool too).
