Icpo Foundation, Sbmn Partner For Education

The International Centers for Precision Oncology (ICPO) Foundation and the Brazilian Society of Nuclear Medicine (SBMN)

The International Centers for Precision Oncology (ICPO) Foundation and the Brazilian Society of Nuclear Medicine (SBMN) have announced a joint effort to advance Radiomolecular Precision Oncology (RPO) in Brazil. This collaboration intends to deploy the ICPO Academy for Theranostics and develop ICPO Centers in Brazil, thereby contributing to worldwide progress in the field.

ICPO and SBMN will collaborate to revolutionize RPO in Brazil, with an emphasis on improving patient care, teaching and research. The first phase will concentrate on creating content in Portuguese for the ICPO Academy and selecting priority candidate hospitals. SBMN will promote the Academy in later phases and provide practical training in Brazil.

The alliance aims to provide access to effective cancer therapies, promote precision oncology research and development, and raise best-practice standards. ICPO will create the Academy's content and platform, while SBMN will ensure quality and promote the Academy in Brazil.

SBMN will also create content for ICPO Community activities and publicize ICPO awards and grants to its members. The alliance intends to empower healthcare workers, standardize clinical procedures, and enhance patient outcomes in Brazil and around the world.

Dr. Rafael Lopes, President of SBMN, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that it will improve patient care and help advance therapeutic nuclear medicine. The collaboration is consistent with ICPO's aim to increase worldwide patient access to Molecularly Targeted Precision Oncology and empower its Centers through a highly inclusive Community.

Finally, the collaboration between the ICPO Foundation and SBMN represents a huge step forward in the advancement of Radiomolecular Precision Oncology in Brazil, with the potential to improve cancer patients' lives around the world.
