Must-dos For Your Matchless Sydney Moments

Discover popular activities that can make your Sydney trip unmatched—Harbour cruises, garden visits, and more.

When I moved home to Sydney nearly five years ago, I was overjoyed to find out the fact that I’m living in one of the most beautiful cities in Australia—complete with dizzying cityscapes, bountiful natural attractions, and importantly, perfect beaches! I’ve been on a quest to see as much of Sydney as possible and I’ve been blown away by just how much there is to see and do in this gorgeous land I call home! And here is what I recommend to do on a trip to this iconic harbour city!

Sydney Harbour Dinner Cruise

It is obvious that Sydney is the kind of city where we can make memories that last a lifetime by simply being here. However, taking an effort to make extraordinary moments with our loved ones is always appreciated, and that’s why the Sydney Harbour cruise combining dinner and splendid views of the harbour attractions became so popular. Sharing a family meal in a perfectly organised setting, against sparkling city lights and million-dollar views of the harbour attractions is quite impressive. Sydney Harbour is a charming spot to make matchless moments with your loved ones. Hold them as close when they enjoy their scrumptious dinner and sip their favourite drink while enjoying the best views of the harbour delights. I can assure you that—you will never regret exploring the world’s most beautiful harbour on a dinner cruise in Sydney.

Being with Nature- Visit the Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains National Park, just west of the city, is popular for its alluring views, hiking trails, waterfalls, and record-breaking adventure attractions. The ‘Three Sisters’ is the most popular landmark in the Blue Mountains. To the right of the sisters, lies the remnants of millions of years old stone formation. It’s a sacred site to the Aboriginals living here. Stop by the Echo Point and Scenic World to enjoy the prime views of the valley and mountains in every direction. Make sure you stopped by the Leura Cascades, perfect for a great hike through some of the diverse areas of the Blue Mountains—along streams, waterfalls, and a dense forest.

Bondi to Coogee Walk

If you are a fan of adventurous activities, then the Bondi to Coogee Walk is something you will love to do in Sydney. It’s a famous coastal walk that couldn’t be left on any Aussie travel itinerary. The entire Bondi to Coogee pathway boasts gorgeous coastline views. It allows us to appreciate nature and enjoy everything in our comfort. The entire walk will only take just 2 hours at a good pace. If you are interested to take it longer, you can try to hit the Tamarama Beach section, an amazing waypoint close by. You can plan your travels around the winter season when there is a high chance to spot migrating humpback whales.

Visit the Royal Botanic Garden

You can’t go past without taking a stroll around Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens while you are in Sydney. This bewitching gardens on the edge of the bustling city are quite a sight to behold! Located only just a ten-minute walk from Circular Quay, the gardens are pretty easy to commute to. This tranquil garden is home to thousands of plant specimens and much native wildlife. For those who love to go the extra mile, there is also a guided Aboriginal Heritage Tour. if you are interested to deepen your understanding of Australian history and Aboriginal culture, it’s a catch!

No list of things to do in Sydney could ever be complete without visiting the Taronga Zoo. Wander the expansive 28-hectare grounds interacting with the cute array of native wildlife. Getting to Taronga Zoo is pretty easy. All you need to do is board a boat from Circular Quay. Take a picnic and explore the surrounding. All the delightful restaurants here are bonus points!
