Les Menuires Chalets: Cater To The Whole Family

A family ski holiday should be a time for everyone to come together doing something they love – so the last thing you want to be doing is worrying about your kids being cooped up in a hotel room, or disturbing other guests. That’s why I usually suggest chalet accommodation for families on winter sports holidays. For those looking to experience the excellent conditions of the vast Three Valleys ski area, I would go even further and specifically recommend catered chalet accommodation in Les Menuires.

Set at 1850m, Les Menuires is a child-friendly ski resort in the largest of the Three Valleys. The best part for families looking to save a little on the cost of an Alpine holiday is that the accommodation here is a third cheaper than in its more famous neighbours: Val Thorens, Méribel or Courchevel.

Of course you come to Les Menuires to ski – after all, you’ve got the entire Three Valleys with its 600km of runs on your doorstep to explore – so you don’t want to spend too much time getting to and from the pistes. This is why the ski-in-ski out accommodation at Bruyères is so ideal. Not only can you get the kids ready for ski school and step outside your door on to the slope, but the chalets are right beside the Bruyères gondola so you’ll be on the pistes of Mont de la Chambre yourself before you know it.

There are five hosted chalets at Bruyères: Estelle, Gabrielle, Flora, Haley and Delfina. Haley and Delfina can both sleep 12 adults, while Estelle, Gabrielle and Flora can sleep 12 adults and four children. All of the chalets come with sun terrace and hot tub, and are within walking distance of the centre of Les Menuires. Chalet hosts will be on hand to welcome you and look after your needs during your stay.

Whether you want to book a room or two or fill the entire accommodation, the catered Chalets de Bettaix, Irene and Jasmine offer a more indulgent, peaceful ski holiday environment. Set away from the main resort (with a driver service available for getting in and out of town) the chalets’ staff can offer guests a premium service. From luxury bed linen, bath towels and robes to upmarket Elsyl toiletries, guests here will feel pampered when they return from a day on the slopes (and that’s before they venture into the sauna or hot tub).
