Take To The Skies In Jasper: Jaw-dropping Viewing Experience

Rockies holidays in Jasper showcase the natural beauty of the region and there are unique ways to take in the views.

I am a strong believer that everybody should see The Rocky Mountains at some point in their lifetime. This stunning mountain range stretches all the way across the USA and Canada and is an astonishing sight to behold with its dramatic ridges, amazing wildlife, epic alpine lakes and much more. Due to the fact that they stretch some 3,000 miles, there are many tourist destinations in the Rockies. Holidays to this area have become hugely popular in recent years and I recommend Jasper, Canada as the perfect place to experience the Rockies on a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

In addition to being an area of outstanding natural beauty with its own breathtaking National Park, Jasper also offers a few unusual ways to soak in the incredible views of the Rockies. Holidays to Jasper are also perfect for nature lovers and I cannot recommend the following activities highly enough.

Glacier Skywalk

The Glacier Skywalk is an experience unlike any other and will certainly prove to be a highlight of the trip. Located on the aptly named Icefields Parkway, the Glacier Skywalk is a 1km walkway that will take you to an observation platform with a glass floor, allowing you to look down on an epic 280m drop. This is sure to provide a surge of adrenaline whilst also treating you to stunning views of the Sunwapta Valley. Look up to see incredible mountain and glacial views, whilst below you will be able to observe beautiful birds soaring through the air.

Jasper SkyTram

The Jasper SkyTram will take you on an unforgettable journey to the summit of the legendary Whistler Mountain at an elevation of a staggering 2,825m. This will provide you with jaw-dropping views of the Rocky Mountains and Jasper far below - I have yet to find a better spot to look out over the Rockies. During the scenic seven-minute ride up Whistler Mountain in the tram, the friendly guides will tell you all about the fascinating history and geology of the area too.

Helicopter Tour

An exhilarating way to take in the Rocky Mountains, a helicopter tour will take you high above the clouds and show off the stunning natural beauty of the area by taking you over huge waterfalls, glaciers, alpine lakes and much more. The action-packed tours will provide you with unique views that can only be seen from the air, plus you also get the thrill of soaring through the crisp Canadian mountain air in a helicopter!

These are just a few of my favourite ways to take in the Rockies. Holidays to Jasper have an incredible amount to offer with its unique concentration of glacier-fed lakes, thick forests and enormous rivers. Rockies holidays in Canada are renowned for showing the great beauty of the country - for the best experience, you will want to get in touch with a specialist Canadian tour operator to book your holiday to Jasper so that you can benefit from their expert knowledge to craft the perfect itinerary.
