The route continues towards the west, where the scenic coastline is so enticing that explorers tend to stay there for a day or two.

• Ring of Kerry: Ireland

One of Ireland’s most famous spots, this circular route traditionally starts and ends in Killarney. Enjoy the beautiful greenery of the landscape as you pass through the National Park, where you can also appreciate the breathtaking mountains of Macgillicuddy’s Reeks.

You will soon reach the shoreline, where the crashing Atlantic waves create a liveliness on the small beach. The nearby fishing harbours are quaint and have an authentic ambience. They also offer boat trips out to neighbouring islands: a fantastic way to draw your road trip to a close.
