LIVE IN CARERS

The majority of older people prefer to stay in their own home, including people who develop Dementia. Research shows that even where clients have complex care needs a good care package can prevent the need for residential care in almost 70% of cases. Oran Dementia Care, however, provide a real alternative to care homes. Our highly trained Live in Dementia Carers can allow your loved ones to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes whilst ensuring the highest levels of support and care at all times. Your live in care will usually need a separate sleeping area and around 2 hours of personal time per day.

PART TIME CARERS

For earlier and middle stages of Dementia, early provision of support at home can greatly reduce the need for residential care. Oran Homecare staff can make several visits per day making a significant impact on the quality of daily life. Support can include assisting in tasks that are no longer manageable, spending time promoting meaningful activity and providing personal care where required. In addition Oran Dementia Care staff can help you identify useful technology such as alarm systems and day planners that can improve safety and reduce the anxiety of the person of living with dementia.

RESPITE CARERS

Short term or temporary respite from daily caring is essential to ensure the continued health and well family carers. You may be in need of a break, a short holiday or unable to provide care due to unforeseen illness. Oran Dementia Care can provide both planned and emergency respite care. All our Carers are trained and experienced in working with people with dementia, they will take the time to learn the clients care plan and ensure there is the minimum of disruption to daily routines.
