So let’s recap why you must have a lead magnet.

There are two reasons…

You want to be solving your target market’s problem

You want to capture your target market’s email address to build a relationship

Those are in simple terms.

You can’t expect that someone is going to spend money with you when they land on your site. Most people don’t. They like to check you out. They want to see if you are a person of trust, you are honest… are you the person that is going to help them solve their problems?

You have to be seen as the problem solver.

So when your target market lands on your site… you want them to take action. The action you want them to take is that you want them to download your ebook, cheat sheet, free video training… whatever it is that you choose for your target market to help them solve a problem. By your target market taking action and downloading your lead magnet you in turn capture their email address. Hence this is the beginning of the relationship that you start building with your target market.

So who is your target market?

You have to identify who they are… so you have to establish what niche you are working in.

I target network marketers and affiliate marketers… they are my target market. Network marketers who want to build a business online as well as affiliate marketers because they are online wanting to build a business and generate an income online.

What I have done is created my lead magnet as you can see on the right hand side of this post. The ebook is called “The Secrets To Success Online – What The Gurus Don’t Tell You”. I created this ebook because I had the frustration of trying to figure out how to build a business online… so I understand what network marketers and affiliate marketers are going through… because I was in that target market. I want my target market to understand that there are certain elements that need to be in place to reach success online. And it’s the missing elements that the Gurus don’t always share… so in this ebook I talk about how to solve that problem.

So as you can see I am solving a problem for my target market.

This is what you need to be doing. You need to solve a problem for your target market. You want to capture your target market’s email address so that you can begin the relationship with your target market… so you can build the know, like and trust factor.
