Family Fun In The Sun On Menorca’s Best Beaches

Famous for its hidden coves, secret swimming spots, and vibrant flora, Menorca is a truly stunning island. What’s more is that with so many beautiful protected beaches in Menorca, family holidays are easy to plan.

While some coastal destinations are a little on the wilder side, the island’s natural beauty can still be appreciated from any number of family-friendly beaches kitted out with all the services you could possibly need when you’re travelling with little ones.

You wouldn’t want to miss out on these beach highlights during your Menorca family holiday!

Punta Prima

The vibrant blue seas at Punta Primaare highly photogenic. Free of big rocks, these calm waters are not too deep, so are ideal for young swimmers looking to build their confidence.

Pedal boats and kayaks are available to hire out for the day, and there are plenty of beach bars to stop off at for a spot of lunch.

As if that weren’t already enough, the little ones will love the slides at the nearby water park!

Cala’n Bosch

If, during your Menorca family holiday, you find yourselves on a day trip to Ciutadella—a beautiful old town with cobbled streets and a harbour—be sure to stop off at the Cala’n Bosch beach.

The cove has all the services you need to. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available to rent, a coastguard watches over fine white sands and calm waters, and there are plenty of beachside restaurants from which to choose. There’s even a nearby marina buzzing with street vendors, ice cream parlours, boutiques and pizzerias.

Cala Galdana

Located on the south coast, Cala Galdana is a popular choice among both tourists and locals.

The cove has no large waves, so its gentle waters are perfect for families with small children. Bordering the white sands you’ll find a shady pine forest where you can take shelter from the hot summer sun and watch ducklings in the creek.

The kids certainly won’t be bored, either. With kayaks available to rent, water slides to rush down, dancing in the evenings and mini golf available at a beach-side restaurant, there are plenty of fun activities to fill the day.

Where to Stay

To get the most out of your Menorca family holidays, consider renting a villa for the duration of your stay. Not only do villas provide the flexibility of self-catering (so you won’t have to splash out on dining every mealtime), they also have ample space for the whole family. Many of the island’s villas boast spectacular views and may even include a private pool where you can splash around with the kids.

In Menorca, family holidays are certain to be full of fun in the sun if you visit these family-friendly beaches.
