All Abilities Welcome at St Anton Ski Resort

Looking for excellent skiing slopes and a cosy catered chalet? St Anton is the perfect resort for a memorable trip.

For a fantastic ski resort for all abilities, look no further than St Anton, located in one of the snowiest corners of the Alps. There is no shortage of things to see and do – and skiing opportunities of course!

For Beginners

The lower village slopes by Nasserein are gentle and offer plenty of space for beginners to progress at their own pace. Once you’ve started to get the hang of it, try the slopes at Gampen or Rendl for a bigger challenge. For absolute beginners however, the area is less than ideal and locating at Lech or Zürs may be a safer bet.

For Intermediates

Four new gondolas were built in 2017 linking St Anton to the rest of the Ski Arlberg and providing a multitude of options for intermediate skiers. If it’s been a while since your last ski trip, try some of the blue and gentle red slopes of the Galzig Mountain to ease yourself back into it before resting up and enjoying a hot meal in your catered chalet. St Anton is now part of Austria’s largest linked ski area and confident intermediates have the entire Ski Arlberg at their disposal. There are some great long runs either side of the valley at Stuben, and reaching the far end at Warth-Schröcken is well worth attempting.

For Experts

If there’s anywhere better in the world for expert skiers and snowboarders to indulge in their snowy passion than St Anton, I haven’t found it! 200km of fantastic marked ski routes are avalanche controlled. Get there early to make best use of your time and enjoy the freedom of the slopes at your leisure. The runs off Valluga and down towards Zürs are highly recommended for a thrilling challenge, but make sure to complete these testing slopes with a guide. It’s no wonder St Anton attracts skiers and riders from around the world seeking a real challenge every winter.

Where to Stay

For an excellent catered chalet, St Anton is the ideal resort as there are a number of comfortable and budget-friendly options available. I definitely recommend accommodationthat is fully catered; not only will you have more time to spend on the pistes, but you can return to the chalet knowing there is a delicious hot meal waiting for you!

However, if you enjoy cooking or would prefer to eat out more frequently and try some of the local restaurants, a self-catered chalet could be more your style – luckily there are plenty of places that offer this too.

For those seeking thrilling skiing during the day and a cosy overnight stay in a catered chalet, St Anton has so much to offer. A ski trip here is one you certainly won’t forget in a hurry.
